One of the greatest benefits of membership
in USABDA is simply being an active participant in and supporter of this dynamic
and effective leader, promoter and supporter of ballroom dancing. Many members
say that attending USABDA events and association with the friends they make at

Use our
Friends of USABDA Program to obtain significant discounts on purchases of
products and services.
Discounts on Admissions
Attend our fabulous chapter dances
anywhere in the country and pay the lower admission prices applicable to
members. Each dance usually starts with a one-hour dance lesson, followed by
several hours of general dancing. The typical program includes mixers, line
dances, and dance demonstrations.
Dance Information
- Be informed and stimulated by
Amateur Dancers, our world-renowned ballroom dance
magazine.
- Receive
Chapter Newsletters covering local ballroom dance
news, including information on places to dance.
- Call our 800 number for dance information on any
place in the country. Members use this service when planning business trips or
vacations.
- Receive information regarding dance workshops, dance
weekends, dance courses, and other special events for ballroom dancers.
Other Opportunities
Attend our National DanceSport
Championships that select the amateur couples to represent the United States in
the World Championships and World Games as well as the many regional and chapter
championships.
Additional Benefits to Athlete Members
- Status as an Athlete Member of USABDA and USA
DanceSport, the National Governing Body for Amateur DanceSport in the United
States. We are recognized by and member of:
- The United States Olympic Committee (USOC)
- The International Dancesport Federation (IDSF),
the World Governing Body for Dancesport.
- The National Dance Council of America (NDCA), the
National Governing Body for Professional Dancers and Teachers of Ballroom
Dancing.
- Eligibility to compete in USABDA organized or
